Our stunning recently refurbished four double bedroom thatched period farmhouse, sleeping up to eleven guests, two of which to be children, is perfectly situated in the peaceful hamlet of Ashford, set within its own grounds and a stone’s throw from breath-taking scenery and countryside walks. Within close proximity to the local village of Isle Abbots and the popular village of Ilton, boasting local amenities and stunning country pubs making it the perfect rural escape. Also, within 40 minutes’ drive to the infamous Glastonbury Music Festival and the Dorset and Somerset coast where you can discover the golden-sand beaches, the soaring cliffs or the serene wetlands.

Our Grade II listed farmhouse has been beautifully refurbished and benefits from all its original features including Wood Oak paneling, Blue Lias flagstone flooring and two charming inglenook fireplaces set within the lounge and dining room creating the perfect retreat to blissfully relax and enjoy those precious moments with friends and family. We can also provide a hot tub for the duration of your stay so that you can really indulge yourself and relax n the peaceful Somerset countryside. PLEASE NOTE: the hot tub is at an additional cost, please ask the reservations team if you wish to add this to your stay.

Our magnificent farmhouse is ample enough to create amazing memories for our guests but if you are looking for even more to do, the fantastic activities on your doorstep are sure to make your stay even more memorable. You can kayak down the River Isle with the best spots to picnic and swim or visit the many wonderful local National trust attractions including Barrington Court. You can also enjoy cycling down the National Cycle route or take a well-deserved trip to the local Cider Mill to sample the best Somerset has to offer. If you are looking to benefit from the culture and history of Somerset you can take a visit to Yeovilton Fleet Air Museum or even the Perrys Cider Museum.

Somerset Farmhouse is also near to the small market town of Ilminster which is centred upon a magnificent ancient Church and has all the local amenities a small town offers with also being within easy access to the A303, ideal for commuters’ routes from London and the West Country.

Our farmhouse features four double bedrooms, from the main staircase you can access a stunning large family room that can sleep up to four guests a second double bedroom and bathroom with roll-top bath. A secondary staircase takes you up to the family suite, comprising of a large double bedroom leading onto a landing area giving you access to the family bathroom with over bath shower, this landing area is a lovely cosy space with a sofa bed that sleeps 1 guest, perfect for children. Following on from the landing there is a twin bedroom.

We have provided you with eco friendly bathroom products called 'no ordinary' (Please get in touch with us if you would like to purchase any of these great products). A large kitchen, utility room, a separate office space with a desk comprises the downstairs layout. The picturesque gardens are predominately laid to lawn with a range of shaped flower and shrub borders. The ideal place to relax and unwind.

Due to the age and style of this property there are low ceilings and one of the staircases is narrow and steep.
