From the original beams that sit high up in the log-fired living room to the terracotta tiles that hark back to a simpler time, to the oak-framed summer room that spills out onto the sun-soaked garden, the ground floor is enough to ensure a charming stay. Yet it’s the upstairs that feels like a carnival of charm, the three double bedrooms sitting beneath whitewashed walls and beam-filled eaves, with two bathrooms drenched in natural light.
