Our stunning neighbouring rustic barn conversions are perched on the edge of Ilton village.
Set within their own grounds these two properties between them can host up to 18 guests for a wonderful luxury holiday retreat. The local village of Isle Abbots is close by as well as the village of Ilton that boasts great local amenities and stunning country pubs. With an optional HOT TUB package that can be added to your stay our Farm & Barn house is the perfect retreat for large groups.
Also, within 40 minutes’ drive are the infamous Glastonbury Music Festival and the Dorset and Somerset coast where you can discover the golden-sand beaches, the soaring cliffs or the serene wetlands.
The houses are ample enough to create amazing memories for guests but if you are looking for even more to do, the fantastic activities on your doorstep are sure to make your stay even more memorable. You can kayak down the River Isle with the best spots to picnic and swim or visit the many wonderful local National trust attractions including Barrington Court. You can also enjoy cycling down the National Cycle route or take a well-deserved trip to the local Cider Mill to sample the best Somerset has to offer. If you are looking to benefit from the culture and history of Somerset you can take a visit to Yeovilton Fleet Air Museum or even the Perrys Cider Museum.
The area is surrounded by National Trust attractions including, Montacute House, Barrington Court, Dunster Castle and Prior Park Landscape Garden.
Guests will have the freedom to move between the two properties and their adjoining gardens during their stay.
The Farmhouse (SLEEPS 10)
Our stunning recently refurbished four double bedroom thatched period farmhouse, sleeping up to 8 adults and 2 children, is the larger of our two properties.
Our Grade II listed farmhouse has been beautifully refurbished and benefits from all its original features including Wood Oak paneling, Blue Lias flagstone flooring and two charming inglenook fireplaces set within the lounge and dining room creating the perfect retreat to blissfully relax and enjoy those precious moments with friends and family.
The farmhouse features four double bedrooms, from the main staircase you can access a stunning large family room that can sleep up to four guests a second double bedroom and bathroom with roll-top bath. A secondary staircase takes you up to the family suite, comprising of a large double bedroom leading onto a landing area giving you access to the family bathroom with over bath shower, this landing area is a lovely open space with a sofa bed that sleeps 1 guest, perfect for children. Following on from the landing there is a twin bedroom.
The Barn House (SLEEPS 8)
The property has also recently been refurbished, enhancing its natural charm and adding some modern luxurious touches.
The barn can accommodate up to 8 guests with three bedrooms and one reception room (with a sofa bed), an open plan kitchen, and a large garden with private parking for the property.
As you enter the barn you walk through the entrance room with seating area, perfect for a morning coffee. This leads onto into the open kitchen area with a central dining table that seats 8. The modern lounge is the perfect resting spot for the whole family and offers sleeping for 2 people on the double sofa bed.
Upstairs the Master Bedroom offers a large king-sized bed. Bedroom 2 features a double bed and finally bedroom 3 offers twin beds that can be put together to form another king sized bed.
You will find the bathroom upstairs boasting a luxurious roll top bath and separate shower.
In the gardens we have outdoor furniture so that you can enjoy a BBQ in the sunshine.
