The living area is a calm and airy space, adorned with characterful wooden beams and a log burner and smart TV, perfect for cosying up in front of after a long day’s adventure.
Also downstairs is the kitchen, with a Belfast sink and boiling tap. The kitchen is well-equipped with an oven and electric hob, microwave, toaster, kettle, coffee machine and dishwasher – everything even the most ambitious of chefs would need to rustle up a hearty and nourishing meal.
There is a beautiful family bathroom located on the first floor of the property, complete with a roll-top bath and rainfall shower.
The master bedroom is furnished with a kingsize zip and link bed, which can also be split into two twin beds, providing a flexible sleeping arrangement to suit the unique requirements of your party. The second of the cottage’s bedrooms is also complete with a kingsize zip and link bed and views over the neighbouring park.
There is on street parking available just outside the property. We are able to welcome one well-behaved dog at this home (fees apply).
The highly sought-after village of Quorn has a lot to offer, with boutique stores, independent cafes, cosy pubs and stunning restaurants. Matchstick Cottage is also only a short drive from a number of superb areas of natural beauty, such as Beacon Hill Country Park, Swithland Woods and Bradgate Park, all offering wonderful, picturesque spaces to explore, excellent for long or short walks, picnics and generally enjoying the peaceful surrounding nature.
The village of Quorn is also surrounded by a wealth of attractions for a diverse range of interests. These include Stonehurst Farm, The Great Central Railway, a number of National Trust Properties and even the National Space Centre.
For the fine dining enthusiasts in your party, Matchstick Cottage is just a short drive from Michelin starred restaurant John’s House in Mountsorrel.
The village of Quorn is just a ten-minute drive from the market town of Loughborough and a 25-minute drive into Leicester city centre.
