Stop by The Plantation Garden

This Victorian town garden is situated off Earlham Road in Norwich, Norfolk and is a turn-of-the-century restoration.

It is an oasis of peace and tranquility just a short walk from the hustle and bustle of the city center, hidden from view from the busy road and known locally as ‘The Secret Garden’.

Designed by Henry Trevor (1819-1897), a successful and prosperous upholsterer and cabinetmaker in the area, the garden was a lasting legacy. A disused chalk quarry just outside the city walls was taken on long-term lease in 1856 by him, and he purposed to build himself a family home and create one of the best Victorian gardens still in existence.
